Hi everyone!
Having a blog is all new to me so I'll start with a little bit of my story!
I have always loved being behind the lens of a camera and I remember the first camera I received. I would go out all day and take realistic pictures of my toys, particularly, my Breyer horses. I would pose them in various positions and stack them up on rocks and in my mother's flower garden to make them look like they were in the forest or on a cliff. It was so much fun! Then I started dabbling in scenery photos. I really loved capturing the world through the lens of my camera.
After a while, I did not lose my interest, but life just got in the way and I didn't truly pick up a camera again until my husband, at the time, received a nice Nikkon digital camera. I started using his camera and found my passion again in being behind the lens of a camera.
I wanted to hone my skill and hobby, so animals and scenery was what I photographed. I had a blast going out hiking with my Doberman, Kaleb, taking photos of the areas and of him. The more I did photos, the more I wanted to start taking photos of people and families.
However, I was not very good at it. Not only was I not good at photographing people, I made the posing awkward! I felt horrible and almost hung up my hobby. When people come to get photos taken, they are already feeling awkward and a little off. It makes it even more awkward if the person taking the photos does not have confidence and makes you feel awkward. But with the support of my husband, at the time, and my family I kept trying.
I realized that I enjoyed taking photos of people because long after your memories, mind, and family are
These are some of the first photos I ever took with my very first camera!
Side note: I had to dig them out of a box full of printed photos!
